Building Your Business Case in Community Rehabilitation

This hands-on workshop aims to teach the essential steps of developing a business case, to support your rehabilitation service within the new commissioning environment. Its focus is to explain the various thought processes needed to help you and your colleagues build a sound business case.
The morning session focusses on explaining the various thought processes needed to help you and your colleagues build a sound business case. Attendees also learn about the different tools and techniques typically used in the commercial world.
Attendees are given time to prepare a 10 minute “pitch” for a given service scenario to a panel of judges. Help wis at hand to develop presentations, and on completing the “pitch”, the panel of judges provide feedback and select a winning team.
Some of the key learning outcomes are:
- understanding the commissioning process
- synthesising evidence to support the business case
- detailing unique contribution
- accurate budgeting to for cost effective services
- risks and benefits
- demonstrating improved outcomes
